Carson’s Village can provide a wide range of support services to help families navigate this difficult time.
Carson's Village Advocates stay with families for two years after a loss to ensure they are grieving in a healthy way. Hospital staff and patient families have the support and resources they need to successfully navigate the complications that often arise during the grief journey. Our highly trained Advocates provide guidance and support every step of the way.

Village of Support for Patient Families and Hospital Staff
Families
Carson's Village provides patient families the resources they need when they need it most to ensure that they are grieving in a healthy way. Partnering with Carson's Village can extend your organization's relationship with patient families for over two years after a loss through our Continuing Support program.
Hospital Staff
Bereavement Village provides hospital staff assistance with bereaved families, mental health support, education, tools, and more. Additionally, bereaved employees benefit from Carson's Village regular services which reduces the incomprehensible stress of losing a loved one, return to work faster, prevents employees from going into unnecessary debt, and reduce long-term mental health issues.

Engaging the Staff
Chaplain Resources
A Carson's Village Advocate works with both the hospital chaplain and the family to provide support by serving as the frontline resource for chaplains to connect families to immediately after a loss.
Medical Staff
- By integrating Carson's Village into end of life protocol, medical staff has the tools to provide families with the support they need at the time they need it most.
- Carson's Village provides support for frontline medical staff dealing with the complexities of loss to include coping strategies and building a village of support in the workplace.
Human Resources
Carson's Village will fully integrate into current programming to extend the reach of HR support for bereaved employees and their supervisors.
Hospital Social Workers
Carson's Village works closely with Hospital Social Workers to reach families quickly and provide additional support to the Social Workers themselves in supporting families and providing resources.

How It Works
Referring a family to Carson's Village: A live Advocate is assigned to every patient family referred. The Advocate supports the bereaved and serves as a connection between them and your organization during their time of loss.
Access Resources
We provide families with a library of information they can search and browse at their convenience to help through the loss of a loved one. Additionally, we provide hospital staff with the resources they need for communications during a loss.
Help Family Stress Less
With our logistical help we walk families through the phases to be considered when planning a funeral in hopes it alleviates stress and anxiety.
Smoother Grief Process
We are here to provide emotional guidance and connect individuals and families to community partners to help with a smoother grief process.
